We had a three-day weekend, so we went on a little trip to Columbia to visit Sarah and Jamie. We had to take them a couple of dressers that we got, so Grandpa Melvin got to come along, too. It was fun to have a chance to meet some of Sarah & Jamie's friends, including the Columbia Mennonite Fellowship Group that they helped found. We wore our Mennonite girl shirts to dinner. Grandpa fixed up all three of their outside doors with new weather stripping. He worked and worked and worked. We spent some time in a park close to their house. Brad went fishing at the park. As soon as he got out his pole, these two little boys were at his side, wanting to fish. Lincoln wasn't feeling well the whole weekend (stuffy nose and a little bit of a cough), but he definitely got lots of love. The cabin, built in the late '70's to early '80's, has no TV, no internet, and spotty cell phone coverage. It's the perfect place to really get away. Lincoln and I spent July 1-6 there with my family. Brad couldn't go because of his internship. We had a great time, but life just isn't the same without daddy! {prepare for picture overload}
