"Mom, look! I'm playing with Lawrence!"

Leah planned a surprise party for Barb & Jeff's 35th Anniversary. My pictures aren't the best, but they're here!

Dear Lawrence, We've known you for two months today! Your brother continues to love you and love on you lots and lots. He has started trying to teach you to play. You're not buying it. You like to be outside and will fall asleep on walks in your stroller as long as the timing is right. You also like being in your bouncey seat; when you spot a light or a fan you are entranced. The bouncey seat + fan and light on combo is usually magic for you. You have such big eyes and have kept almost all your long hair. Those two things are what people comment on the most. You have started to grab things, especially if you're tired or upset and looking for comfort - mommy's hair, your blanket, the shirt of anyone holding you... You're also comforted by your pacifier (yay for mom and dad!) and being swaddled. You have napped some in your crib lately. Nighttime sleep is still not completely routine but most nights you have at least one stretch of 4+ hours; a...

Eliza Sue was born on May 5. A couple of weeks later we got to go up to visit her, and we took some pictures of the cousins. We made sure to take along the "Aunt Hannah" bears so we could include those in the pictures!

Brad teaches junior high Sunday School at our church. One of his students made this adorable (and soo soft) blanket for Lawrence. It even has a tag with his name and birthdate on one side and her name on the other. We love it!

Moving into a new-to-us house means there are lots of projects to work on. One of them was to start on garden beds so we could grow some vegetables. We had the beds built several weeks ago, and for Mother's Day we bought some topsoil and a garden cart. Brad and Lincoln filled the beds, with a little help from me! At school, Lincoln painted a flower pot. I love the way it looks!
