a boy & his dog

Jazzy came along long before Lincoln. For two long years, she was the center of attention on the average after-work evening. We were understandably nervous about how she would do when Lincoln was born.

In the beginning, she was very curious.

From there, she went to protective.

Now she is mildly entertained.

Lincoln, on the other hand, is more than mildly entertained. He is absolutely delighted by his puppy. He loves when she licks him. He loves when she chews her bone. He reached for her with both hands before either of us. I'm pretty sure his first crawls and steps will be toward her, if this adoration continues. He looks for her when he hears her bark. He loves to just sit and watch her watching him... or watch her ignoring him. It really doesn't matter.

It is already so much fun to watch this little boy and "his" dog! We'll see how things go when he gets a little older and more mobile.
