I am now, as Brad likes to call me, a "Master of the Library."










Part of me can't believe it's all over, that I actually did it. Another part of me is so relaxed now that it's over.

I am so grateful to my family, in-laws, and friends for all their support over the last 2 1/2 years. There were definitely days when the only reason I came home from work and did my homework was because I didn't want to have to tell them that I was quitting because I knew that they believed I could do it (even when I didn't). I could go on, but I'm starting to get emotional just writing that.

Now for the Praxis test and the job hunt!

Every once in a while, I try to take a purposeful break from blogging, for a day or a week or an indeterminate amount of time. Sometimes it's to focus on other things. Lincoln Jesse Kohlman: Birth Story

I am starting to write this post on Monday morning. It might take a while. While my entire pregnancy was blissfully uneventful, a fact for which I am eternally grateful, Lincoln's birth was anything but. This is going to be a difficult story to record (I'm already tearing up with this first paragraph), but I think it will start to help me heal emotionally. Warning: this post is not censored. It includes pretty much everything I can remember, just so you know in advance.  At 37 weeks, Dr. Fullerton sent me in for a measurement ultrasound. I had been measuring small since about 30 weeks, so we just wanted to check on the due date. Surprisingly, Baby K was measuring in the 89th percentile. This was a concern because, let's face it, my body is not exactly built for child-bearing. These hips are narrow.
